Town of Highland Community

Want to know what’s happening in Highland? Let’s talk.

About This Site

I started this site to coincide with the community podcast I was doing. My goals for the podcast and site proved to be a bit heftier than what I had originally intended. I now keep the site up-to-date with significant town happenings. I hope to have you, the reader and resident, interacting here and contributing your experiences and stories. Interested? Email me: hello@highlandpodcast.com Remember, our neighbors are a part of our community and we don’t want to exclude you. Share and share alike!

Who am I, the creator and maintainer of the site? Well, my name is Kim Fenolio. I’ve been a Highland resident all of my life, with the exception of moving out of state for a year, I came back, it’s that community draw. I attended college and received my Associates of Applied Science in Graphic Design and Multimedia. I graduated with honors at the top of my class with a perfect 4.0 GPA, was named graduate of the class and was the president of the graphic design club. I work through the ins and outs of self-employment. Outside of producing podcasts and maintaining blogs there are a number of other graphic, web and new-media solutions that I present to clients. Check out my website if you’re interested at www.KimFenolio.com

I’m a technology junkie and like to get my information with the ease of a few buttons. That’s why I love new media so much. I can click the “Subscribe” link and then add the site feed to my feed-reader. Automatically deliver my news to me whenever and wherever I want? That works for me.

As Joe Wszolek said in a study session, “this is a 21st century solution to a 21st century communications issue.” Technology is advancing so fast that sometimes even a junkie like me can’t keep up. I’m going to do what I can to help to keep others abreast of town happenings in the fashion that I’m capable of.
