Subject: Saturday August 9, volunteers needed.Please help spread the word..
Starting at 9:30am on Saturday August 9, there will be a staging area at the Griffith North Fire Station (located at 1600 North Indiana Street which is just is north of Ridge Road) for individuals wishing to volunteer their time by helping residents clear trees that have fallen in their back yards.
We are in need of chainsaws and labor to help move tree limbs to the street. Anyone wishing to volunteer to clear the fallen trees please report to the fire station after 9:30am. Please bring a chainsaw if you are able. Call 924-7500 for more information.
The Griffith Town Hall will be closed on Saturday but residents can call 924-7500 from 10am to 3pm on Saturday if they need to speak to town personnel.
